I enjoy a simple life. Thoreau and Walt Whitman resonate with me. Frank O’Hara, Adrienne Rich, and Suzanne Vega remain three of my most vital muses. I am blessed and grateful to walk into a high school classroom each morning and teach English, and I am equally thrilled to enjoy the freedom and rejuvenation that each summer brings. Books and writing have flown me to places, introduced me to ideas and faces I would not have met otherwise, held me in their arms, run away with me, rescued me.  Music and film, the same.  These are my musings, random as they may be.

  1. Hi Beth,

I so enjoyed reading your blog. Some of the points in your writings remind me of myself. I guess we are all connected in many ways..

Hope you are doing well! I am in HR for now…
